SOLOMINI (3) is obviously the horse to beat in this afternoon's Rebel at Oaklawn; if he moves forward from his two-year-old form, he's a likely winner. MAGNUM MOON (4) looks to be a serious talent for Todd Pletcher, but he spots experience and class. COMBATANT (10) ran very well in the Southwest most recently, particularly because he was wide throughout on a day where the rail was very strong.

I'm going to take a shot with HIGHER POWER (5) at a giant number. Higher Power hasn't beaten much in his career, but he's done it the right way and he's bred to be a nice runner (half-sibling to Alternation and Interrupted). At a huge price (36-1 with 10 MTP), I'll  give Higher Power a shot in the Rebel.
