Entries for the Grade 3, $800,000 Sunland Derby were drawn Wednesday and the mile and an eighth race will go with a full field of 12. The Sunday race awards Kentucky Derby eligibility points to the first four finishers on a sliding scale of 50-20-10-5. Below please find the field in post position order, with riders:

Sunland received a total of 18 entries for the Sunland Derby, but six horses were excluded, according to Sunland racing secretary Robbie Junk. The maximum gate is 12, and first preference was horses with graded earnings, followed by a second preference of horses with highest lifetime earnings. Junk said those excluded were Restoring Hope, Hyndford, Trigger Warning, Trooper, Sphene and Bocefus. Hyndford is entered in the Louisiana Derby on Saturday at Fair Grounds.
