FAIR REGIS (3) owns the highest last out Beyer in the upcoming third race at Santa Anita (81), but the effort in the $32k claimer on February 8 is a complete anomaly - figure wise. Sure, Fair Regis dusted her competition three starts back and was again victorious two back, but both of those races were against conditioned claiming company and she earned mediocre Beyer Speed Figures and TimeformUS ratings. At odds of 9/5, she's a filly I'll take a swing against.
Of the horses I do like (I went four deep in my pick five: 1,2,4,5), I most prefer BAD JU JU (2). Bad Ju Ju is making her second start for John Sadler, and she has a number of races in her past performances that are fast enough to win this race. Her ability to sit off the pace and come with a run shouldn't be overlooked, particularly if a speed duel develops (which I believe could happen). Bad Ju Ju is currently 4-1 with 15 MTP.
