NEW ORLEANS HANDICAP
- THE PLAYER (1) walked on the front end winning the Mineshaft most recently, but I think he's going to get a similar trip here; single for me
MUNIZ MEMORIAL
- LUCULLAN (6) was visually impressive winning a N2X at Gulfstream on February 11; he possesses tactical speed in a race that lacks any real early zip - Stevens could have him closer than usual
- SYNCHRONY (1) was strong off a long layoff winning the FG Handicap on 2/17, and a forward move from that effort makes him tough in here
FAIR GROUNDS OAKS
- CLASSY ACT (1) should be controlling speed this afternoon, and there's no Monomoy Girl to run her over late
- I loved the effort from CHOCOLATE MARTINI (9) on 2/18; she was in tight between horses but fought on gamely - the runner-up returned to win next-out with an 83 BSF
LOUISIANA DERBY
- I don't love anyone in the Louisiana Derby, so I'm using a few in here...
- LONE SAILOR (8) ran very well in a race that didn't feature much pace on 2/19; if there's any hitting in front of him, he should be motoring late
- SNAPPER SINCLAIR (7) and BRAVAZO (1) were separated by a nose in the Risen Star; I'll use both of them
- MY BOY JACK (9) was impressive winning the Southwest at Oaklawn in his last start, but he rode a gold rail over a muddy-sealed racetrack; he'll need to prove he can do the same over a dry strip
1 / 1,6 / 1,9 / 1,7,8,9 = $8 for $0.50
