Junior Alvarado rallied first-time starter Sweeping Vista ($19.80) from just off the pace to run down fellow first-time starter Giant Boo Boo (14-1) in AQU 10th and final for Charlton Baker.
It was the fourth win on the card for Alvarado, whose other victories included Archie ($10) in the opener, Split TIme ($4.30) in the $100K Maddie May Stakes, and Wicked Macho ($13) in race 9.
Three Goals, the 3-5 favorite in the finale, was backed out just before the official start of the race and reloaded. He broke running, and dueled with Giant Boo Boo before fading to fourth.
Alvarado, who also rode four winners here on March 4, now has 41 for the meet, just 5 behind Dylan Davis for 2nd in the standings. It would appear that Manny Franco has the riding title wrapped up with 56 wins and just three cards remaining at the meet.
Sweeping Vista was one of just three horses live in the pick-6. The bettor hit for $15,826.
