Blazing Navarone delivered at 1-5 on Sunday in the $100,000 New Mexico Breeders' Derby at Sunland Park. He was always prominent in the mile and a sixteenth race, while covering the distance on a fast track in 1:44.84.

Ry Eikleberry was aboard for trainer Henry Dominguez. 

It was the third straight win - and third straight stakes victory - for Blazing Navarone ($2.40). He began his streak in the Four Rivers John Deere in December at Sunland and continued with the Red Hedeman Mile in January at Sunland.
