Another glorious day in South Florida as Gulfstream hosts an 11-race card over a fast main track and a firm turf course.
First post is 12:35 p.m.
The Rainbow-6 has a $4.6 million carryover on the day before the entire pool must be disbursed on the Florida Derby program. Unlikely to get hit today by a solo ticket but, hey, you never know.
Race 9 is the $75,000 Soaring Softly Stakes at 1 3-8 miles on turf featuring Summersault, a New York-bred mare trained by Mark Hennig who won the Orchid here last year. Taralena and Empressof The Nile look to be the main threats.
Luis Saez, who rode 7 winners on Friday, needs one today to establish a Gulfstream Park "Championship Meet' record. Javier Castellano rode 132 winners in 2013-14.
Here are today's scratches:
Race 1-- #3
Race 4 -- #5
Race 5- #9, #10
Race 8 -- #3, 9
Race 11 - #12
