The optional claimer was Conquest Cobra's first start since a third in the Grade 1 Triple Bend Stakes behind Denman's Call on March 11, 2017. Conquest Cobra was trained by Vladimir Cerin on Friday and earlier in his career.

Friday's optional claimer was won by Ten Blessings ($3) in his second start of the year. Ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, Ten Blessings ran seven furlongs in 1:22.53 and won by 1 3-4 lengths over Conquest Cobra.
