BEST PERFORMANCE (8) makes her three-year-old debut for Christophe Clement in the Sanibel Island, and while she's fared well against arguably better company in her career, the fact remains - she's 1-for-6 lifetime with five second place finishes. She can win this race, but I'm going to try to beat her with ORIGINATOR (3).
Originator won in her career debut for trainer Ian Wilkes, a feat almost as rare as spotting bigfoot (if they exist). The performance on January 14 was visually very impressive, and she followed that race up with a solid try against winners for the first time at Tampa on February 21. The effort at Tampa is likely better than looks, as she rallied from off the pace over a turf course that has been kind to speed all meet. This is a confident move running her in a stakes race after that effort, and she's a playable price at the moment (5-1 with 10ish MTP). I'll play her to win at odds of 7/2 or greater.
