A number of candidates for the Grade 3, $400,000 Fantasy at Oaklawn were out for works Saturday morning. The Kentucky Oaks points race will be run April 13.
The track Saturday was fast and the sun was out while temperatures ranged in the low 60s.
Sassy Sienna worked first set, going a half-mile in 48 seconds. Red Ruby followed not long afterward, going a half-mile in 49.20 seconds. Trainer Kellyn Gorder said Red Ruby, who earlier in the meet won the Martha Washington, is being pointed for the Fantasy.
Amy's Challenge had the bullet for the morning, drilling a half-mile in 46.20 seconds, the move the fastest of 114 at the distance Saturday at Oaklawn. A little later, Cosmic Burst went five-eighths in 1:01.40. Cosmic Burst is coming off a win in the Grade 3 Honeybee at Oaklawn.
Video of some of the aforementioned works will be posted later on Twitter.
