Figarella Queen(8-1) led throughout then desperately withstood a final surge from Ferdinanda to upset the $150,000 Sanibel Island Stakes, giving jockey Luis Saez his record setting 133rd win of the meet, the most victories by any jockey during the Gulfstream Park Championship session. Figarella Queen, a 3-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, is trained by Gustavo Delgado for Grupo 7C Racing Stable.
