Flourescent will have his first start on turf and first start as a maiden claimer in Sunday's ninth race.

Those changes have caught the attention of bettors. With 25 minutes to post, Flourescent (5) is the 2-1 favorite in early betting from a 10-1 listing on the morning line. Flourescent is part of a 10-runner field of $50,000 maiden claimers on the hillside turf course.

The connections certainly would attract attention. Flourescent is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer and will be ridden by Flavien Prat, who is dynamite on turf. Flourescent was sixth  after a slow start in a maiden race at 5 1-2 furlongs in her debut on March 25 in a maiden special weight race.
