The Todd Pletcher contingent of four Kentucky Derby hopefuls topped a full slate of 11 Derby/Oaks workers that started before 6:00 a.m. and continued through 9:15 when Noble Indy completed his final Derby prep Friday morning at Churchill Downs.
The Pletcher workers began with Magnum Moon who went 4F in 24.04, 47.41 in company with Maraud, continuing out willingly in 1:00.24, up 1:13.68. Audible was next, getting an easy half-mile in 24.67, 49.43 before going on extremely well into and around the clubhouse turn, Javier Castellano up, 5/8's in 1;02.64 up 3/4's in a sharp 1:14.58 with stakes winning mate National Flag (Florent Geroux). Vino Rosso had blinkers on and Johnny V. up, worked from the half in company with the older Outplay in 23.37, 47.06 before being urged on steadily to get 3/4's in 1:13.52. Noble Indy worked after the 9:00 break, in company with Regal Quality, five furlongs in 37.46, 1:01.47, out 1:28.95 with those blinkers on once again and Geroux aboard..
Lone Sailor worked solo well before dawn for trainer Tom Amoss, four furlongs in 47.90 out 1:00.94, James Graham in the saddle.
Oaks workers this morning were Patrona Margarita (4F 50.80); Chocolate Martini (5/8's 58.88); Classy Act (5/8's 1:00.99); Coach Rocks (4F 47.40); Wonder Gado t(4F 48.20) and Heavenhasmynikki (5/8's 1:00.99).
