Tough It Out ($7) took the shortest trip, along the rail, and prevailed by 1 1-2 lengths over 4-5 My Man Chuckles.
Tough t Out was claimed for $16,000 by Vladimir Cerin on March 9 and the purchase has been a bargain. Tough It Out returned to win a $35,000 claimer for non-winners of three. Friday's race was for horses who had started for $16,000 or less since May 1, 2017. The winner's share was worth $18,000.
Through the first five races on the eight-race program, Tough It Out is the longest priced winner.
