Popular Kid and Trapalanda, the first two finishers of Friday's seventh race at a mile, were claimed for $16,000.
Popular Kid ($9.40) was claimed in a two-way shake. A 4-year-old gelding by Popular, Popular Kid has won 3 of 30 starts. He raced for trainer Genaro Vallejo on Friday.
Trapalanda was the 8-5 favorite in Friday's race, which was an allowance race for Cal-breds with a $16,000 claiming option. Trapalanda, a 4-year-old gelding by Slew's Tiznow, was taken in a 13-way shake by Reed Saldana.
