Kurilov, Irad Ortiz Jr. up, came with a furious rally in the final furlong to dead-heat for win with Profiteer, Jose Ortiz up, in strongly run 1 1-4-mile allowance race.

Profiteer (6-1) stalked from second the pace-setting Memories of Peter before taking over from that one in midstretch, Kurilov (5-2) was fourth and behind horses apparently stalled. But in the final furlong, Irad Ortiz Jr. got Kurliov to go between horses and he hit the line at the same time.

Highland Sky was third in what was his best race in a long time. Silverwave, the 4-5 favorite, was fourth.
