Jockey Tyler Baze continues to recover from a fall on May 19 and will not ride through the holiday weekend, his agent, Craig O'Bryan, said on Friday.
Baze is expected to resume riding on June 2.
"He’s not going to ride for a few days," O'Bryan said. "He’s been doing some therapy. He said he’s about 90 to 95 percent. He said, 'I don’t think it would be fair to go out there and not be 100 percent.'
"He’s just sore."
Baze has not ridden since the one-horse accident. He was hospitalized briefly late that afternoon, but was released within two hours of being admitted to the emergency room.
Here is a partial list of replacement riders for Baze's four mounts on Friday.
In the third race, Rafael Bejarano will ride Cistron (5).
A rider has yet be named for Bad Boy Leroy (6) in the sixth.
In the seventh race, Drayden Van Dyke will ride Gone to Bali (6).
In the eighth race, Gary Stevens will ride Johnny Ray (7).
