In his first mount after serving a four-day suspension, jockey Geovanni Franco won Friday's first race on favored Foxy Fresh ($4.40).
Franco has won 17 races at the meeting, and ranks second in the standings behind Flavien Prat, who has 21 wins.
Franco has four more mounts this afternoon. His next mount is Sanavi (5) in the fourth race for trainer Reed Saldana, who trains Foxy Fresh.
Prat began a three-day suspension on Friday for a recent riding infraction, but can ride graded stakes this weekend.
The first two finishers in the first race were claimed for $6,250 - Foxy Fresh by 90-year-old Louis Bradvica and runner-up Parasail in a three-way shake by Chuck Treece.
