Monday's special 11 race Memorial Day program won't be quite as special as it might have been with the turf course being closed for business again this afternoon.  The main track is listed as "good" to start things off.  The change in surface led to four scratches in the featured Home of the Brave Stakes including top contender Durocher.  A field of nine is currently scheduled to go to post with the 123 pound highweight Conquest  Sandman a big question mark not only at the distance but on the main track, having finished off the board in his only previous start on dirt.  Main track only entrant Manolete the major beneficiary of the change in venue although like most of the others in this field, he too a mystery when it comes to staying the mile and one-half.

The Home of the Brave will be pre-ceeded by a five furlong maiden special weight dash for 2-year-olds that features the career debuts of the Todd Pletcher trained duo of Majid, a $295,000 2-year-old purchase right here in the March Fasig-Tipton Sale and Social Paranoia, who brought a more modest $75,000 as a yearlhng.  The field also includes Fully Loaded and Garter and Tie both of whom have shown talent training locally this spring.
