Terrific finish in the $200,000 Critical Eye goes to Holiday Disguise ($6.50) by a nose over Highway Star (even-money fave).

Highway Star, under Angel Arroyo cruised to the lead at the five-sixteenths pole but was a little late changing leads while Holiday Disguise, under Irad Ortiz Jr., was rallying widest of all from midpack. Holiday Disguise gradually got to Highway Star and stuck her nose on the wire just in time.

Holiday Disguise, who won the Bouwerie on this card last year for Linda Rice and Sheila Rosenblum, covered the mile in 1:36.12 and returned $6.50 to win. Second straight stakes victory on the program for Ortiz.

Midnight Disguise, a half-sister to Holiday Disguise, runs in the Bouwerie, race 6.
