Jockey Ry Eikleberry not only won five races Friday night at Canterbury Park, he won five in a row.

Eikleberry captured race 3 with Yankee Pride ($4.60), race 4 with Ibaka ($6.40), race 5 with Link ($15.60), race 6 with Perfect Paradise ($3.80), and race 7 with Cowboy Creed ($11.40). The string of wins encompassed three turf routes, a dirt route, and a dirt sprint.

Eikleberry surged to the lead in the Canterbury jockey standings with 19 winners, five more than Orlando Mojica. Eikleberry rode regularly at Canterbury between 2006 and 2015 but before making the Twin Cities-area track his base again this summer he had taken only three Canterbury mounts the last two seasons.
