Santa Anita: Take the One O One wins spill-marred Snow Chief

Take the One O One (8-5) closed from third to win Saturday's $200,000 Snow Chief Stakes for 3-year-old Cal-breds at 1 1-8 miles on turf, a race marred by the fall of Waya Ed in the stretch.

Waya Ed was ridden by Tiago Pereira, who was being attended to by ambulance personnel. He was taken to a local hospital for observation, according to track stewards.

Waya Ed suffered a tibia injury and was euthanized, according to track officials.

Take the One O One was timed in 1:49.37 and finished 1 3-4 lengths in front of 3-2 favorite Hardboot. Pyscho Dar (10-1) finished third.

Take the One O One is owned by Samantha Siegel and trained by Brian Koriner, who also own and train Waya Ed.
