Monmouth Park track offciials announced late Saturday that the facility would be open for both racing and sports betting Sunday after the New Jersey Legislature and Gov. Phil Murphy reached a budget agreement.

If a a budget deal had not been reached by midnight Saturday, non-essential state services would have been shut down. That woud have inlcuded Monmouth Park, whose races and spotrs betting are overseen by state stewards and regulators.
