Bob Baffert is well represented in this year’s Suburban, with the two-headed monster of DR. DORR (5) and HOPPERTUNITY (8). Dr. Dorr has blossomed into a nice older horse, and it’s no coincidence that he’s improved dramatically since being stretched to two-turns. Hoppertunity continues to fire away at the ripe old age of seven, and he’s shown an affinity for Belmont Park (2-for-2 lifetime). I think they could make up the exacta in this race, but I’ll give the nod to Dr. Dorr based on his tactical advantage; in a perfect world, Dr. Dorr sits just off likely pacesetter DIVERSIFY (10), takes over rounding the far turn and holds off the late charge from his uncoupled stablemate.
