That strong showing will make him the odds-on favorite in the featured $100K Victoria Stakes, a five and a half-furlong dash for 2yos. He drew ideally on the outside in the five-horse field, which contains no shortage of speed.

Big Drink of Water and supplement Wallace are both exiting front-running maiden scores on the Tapeta at Presque Isle. First-timer Crawl From the Bar has worked quickly for trainer Norm McKnight, and The Newfie Express was a game second to Armistice Day second-time out.

Armistice Day and The Newfie Express are competing just 13 days after running on the brutallly hot July 1 holiday card.  

Second-leading McKnight has a chance to sweep the late double with Waldorf and Court Battle.
