Katzumoto ($19) closed from off the pace to win Sunday's fourth race for maiden claimers, the first leg of a pick six that drew a pool of $276,963. There was a carryover of $27,618 to begin the program.

The entire pool must be distributed on Sunday, closing day of the summer meeting.

Kazumoto was the fifth choice in a field of seven. He caught 3-5 favorite Captain N. Barron in the final strides of the five-furlong race.
