Candid Desire, 5-2 on the ML, has opened very cold and is currently 12-1. That number will be coming down all the time, but it's still not a sign I like to see from a runner who was a vet scratch on July 7.
I'm going to take a little crack at the double starting in race 4, using #2 RIFF RAFF, an improving horse coming off a bad trip last time.
In the next leg I'll try to get home #4 BULL FEATHERS, who is taking a little sneaky money in the double and has a live look (plus, Harvey Pack taught me a long time ago, "Don't leave out Gleaves.") The other I'm intrigued by is #6 TIME WARP for Ken McPeek, who sports two good looking local works.
