1) Barry Lee 6-1
2) Promises Fulfilled 7/2
3) Engage 3-1
4) Old Time Revival 7-1
5) Strike Power 9/2
6) World of Trouble SCR
7) Soutache 9-1
The scratch of WORLD OF TROUBLE (6) takes away a bit of the early zip from this year's Amsterdam - but not much. It's hard to envision a scenario where PROMISES FULFILLED (2) isn't hustled to establish the lead inside, with OLD TIME REVIVAL (4) breathing down his neck throughout; I happen to think Promises Fulfilled is of higher quality and should be able to put Old Time Revival away, but you never know. STRIKE POWER (5) is interesting if you can forgive his dismal effort in the Woody Stephens chasing a hot pace, and SOUTACHE (7) becomes intriguing if the pace absolutely collapses. The horse they all need to beat is ENGAGE (3), but admittedly I've never been a huge fan of his; he got a great setup in the Woody Stephens and couldn't capitalize...why should I expect him to get it done this time? I've also been a fan of BARRY LEE (1) since he broke his maiden at first asking last year, but this seems like it could be a bit tough for him at this point.
