Casa Creed, who ran sixth at 32-1 just last Saturday, comes back to win this off-the-turf maiden event for 2-year-olds going away under Junior Alvarado, who took both ends of the early double on this now nine-race card.
Not Bill Mott's usual modus operandi to run one back in a week, but it certainly worked out in this case as Casa Creed, a son of Jimmy Creek, stalked from third along the inside, tipped four wide for the stretch and followed Social Paranoia, the 9-5 favorite who had taken the lead turning for home.
Casa Creed ran seven furlongs in 1:23.47 and returned $15.60 to win.
