Fortnite Dance could only finish second at 3-5 in Saturday's first race for $80,000 claimers. The colt caught the attention of trainer Paddy Gallagher who paid that sum to claim the maiden.

Fortnite Dance was beaten 3 3-4 lengths by Its Gonna Hurt ($11.60). Fortnite Dance raced near the front early in the five-furlong race, but could not keep pace with his rival, who was timed in 58.87 seconds.
