Ridden confidently by Alonso Quinonez, Watch Me Burn ($5.20) took the lead shortly after the start and was in command on the turn. She drew off to win easily, finishing six furlongs in 1:11.87. Watch Me Burn won a $50,000 claiming race for maidens at 5 1-2 furlongs in her third career start by 5 1-4 lengths on July 19 for owners Bobby Grayson, Jr. and co-owner and trainer Val Brinkerhoff.
