Fahan Mura (1) will not start in Wednesday's CTT and TOC Handicap for fillies and mares at 1 3-8 miles on turf, trainer Vladimir Cerin said at lunchtime.
"She's had a little bit of an issue," he said. "She'll be okay."
Cerin did not go into details about Fahan Mura's condition.
Fahan Mura won the restricted Osunitas Stakes on July 20 and was expected to set the pace in the CTT and TOC Handicap. The race will have only four starters, a disappointment for race fans who enjoy watching turf marathons.
Aside from Fahan Mura, Evo Campo (5) and Fool's Paradise (7) will not run. Fool's Paradise has been entered in Saturday's Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks.
