Timber Ghost, who came highly touted only to disappoint after unlucky starts on a couple of occasions this winter in Florida, finally delivered on all that promise and in a big way when drawing off to a 9 1/2 length maiden victory in the second race. Timber Ghost, a Frank Stronach homebred by Ghostzapper trained by Jimmy Jerkens, touted himself in the mornings leading up to the race holding his own working in company on a couple of occasions with no less a work mate than Delta Prince. Timber Ghost, who went postward 7-5 in his career debut and 5-2 in his second start, paid $11.00.
