Call Provision disqualified from second in John's Call

Call Provision, who finished second beaten a nose by stable mate Focus Group in the John's Call Stakes, has been disqualified and placed fourth for interfering with 4th place finisher Patterson Cross in deep stretch. Patterson Cross was beaten just a nose for third by Renown after being forced to steady between both a drifting Call Provision and Focus Group in the run to the wire.  The top two original finishers in the race are trained by Chad Brown. Focus Group was ridden to victory by Jose Ortiz and paid $10.60.  His brother Irad Ortiz Jr. rode Call Provision, the 9/5 favorite in the one mile and five-eighths John's Call.
