Emtech, a debut winner in Saturday's third race for maidens, was claimed for $75,000 in a two-way shake by trainer Alfredo Marquez, but the transaction was voided less than an hour after the race after a post-race veterinary examination found the colt was unsound.

Emtech ($6) edged 5-2 Haydens Havoc in the six-furlong race. Emtech is by Concort Point and won on Saturday for owner and breeder Kaleem Shah and trainer Simon Callaghan. He will be returned to Callaghan's stable.
