Santa Anita: Anna Meah makes first claim

Anna Meah, a former assistant trainer to Art Sherman and Richard Baltas who is in the process of opening her own stable this fall, claimed Vallestina for $35,000 in a two-way shake from Sunday's fourth race.

Vallestina finished third in a field of eight. Meah hopes to have her first starter in coming weeks.
