Trainer David O'Meara said Suedois, who won the 2017 Woodbine Mile and was a close fourth in the Breeders' Cup Mile, has met with a relatively minor setback and is unlikely to start again this season, trainer David O'Meara said Tuesday from England. Suedois's connections had hoped to get him back this fall for another BC Mile run.
O'Meara said that Lord Glitters, who was sixth in the Woodbine Mile after being badly compromised by the race shape, will start Oct. 20 at Ascot in the QE II. Lord Glitters, a French-bred by Whipper, would have to be supplemented into the BC Mile, but O'Meara didn't rule that out in advance of the Ascot start.
