Spring Quality opened up as the 3-1 favorite for the Canadian International, just ahead of morning line favorite Thundering Blue, who was 7-2 with 24 minutes to post. The latter was bucking on entrance to the paddock.

Funtastic is taking action at 6-1. He figures to go the front under John Velazquez, with Tiz a Slam in close proximity. The latter was a fat 21-1 early.  

G1 Northern Dancer Turf winner Johnny Bear is 8-1.
