If you're like me and didn't love the look of the Ashley T. Cole run at Belmont Park last month, then you're left looking for a viable alternative to the horses that exit that race. On paper he may not look like much, but I think HOBOE (3) has an outside chance to upset the Mohawk. Hoboe was gone for over a year prior to his most recent start, but he showed no signs of rust; Hoboe won a N3L race over yielding going with an 85 Beyer Speed Figure. I'm hopeful he takes a step forward this afternoon and can work out a similar stalking trip to the one he received on October 4. He's not the likeliest of win candidates, but at odds of 9-1 I'm willing to find out.
