Up next at Keeneland is the Grade 2 Raven Run - the lone graded stakes in North America today, coming on a Saturday when some tracks are hosting state-bred programs. It's a deep race, too, drawing 14 runners.

A couple scratches - the #14 Nootka Sound and the #16 She's a Gypsy. The scratch of Nootka Sound allowed also-eligible #15 Criminal Mischief to draw in.

To these eyes, a narrow edge goes to Alter Moon. Bought at Fasig Tipton in July for $675,000 after winning two summer races in fast time at Gulfstream, she ran an even fourth in the Grade 1 Test for her new connections, just missing third. Rather than wheel back into the Prioress, trainer Chad Brown opted for a fresh filly coming into the Raven Run. A further plus is she has the speed to big in the mix - probably in a pace-pressing position, a style that has been successful today.

Moonshine Memories, twice a Grade 1 winner last year at 2, took a couple starts this year to get back on track before responding in her last pair. She won an allowance in fast time at Del Mar before running a troubled third in the Grade 2 Prioress when bumped and shuffled back at the break. On the heels of that trouble, look for her to be popular at the betting windows.

Amy's Challenge may dare the field to catch her from the fence. She is not a graded winner like 'Memories, but beat a graded-caliber filly in Mia Mischief in winning the Dixie Belle over the winter at Oaklawn. Inside speeds have not done as well today as earlier in the meet - outside pressers have excelled on dirt today.
