Mr. Crow tuned up for the Breeders' Cup Sprint this morning at Keeneland with a three-furlong move in 35 1/5 seconds over a fast track. A 4-year-old son of Tapizar, Mr. Crow most recently was second in the Grade 1 Vosburgh behind Imperial Hint, one of the Sprint favorites. Video of that race is included in this post.
“I know he is going to be a longshot and we are taking a shot,” trainer Ben Colebrook told Keeneland publicity. “I may put blinkers on him and ideally I would like to see him in the first wave.”
Mr. Crow and Colebrook’s other Breeders’ Cup pre-entrants Knicks Go (Juvenile) and Limousine Liberal (Sprint or Dirt Mile) are set to van from their Keeneland base to Churchill Downs early next week.
