The allowance-class runner Awesome Anywhere ($4.60) and maiden claimer Come On Kat ($3.60) won consecutive races without difficulty in the middle of Thursday's program.
Awesome Anywhere won his third consecutive race, and for the sixth time in 11 starts, in an allowance race with a $62,500 claiming option at 6 1-2 furlongs in the fourth race. Ridden by apprentice Assael Espinoza, Awesome Anywhere drew away to win by 7 1-4 lengths.
He is unbeaten in two starts since being claimed by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer for $32,000 at Golden Gate Fields in September.
Come On Kat won a $20,000 claimer for maidens by 8 1-4 lengths under jockey Heriberto Figueroa who had the 3-year-old filly on the lead shortly after the start of the seven-furlong race.
Come On Kat was claimed in a two-way shake by Alfredo Marquez from trainer Richard Baltas. Come On Kat was third and seventh in two maiden special weight races at Del Mar in August.
