In the first three races on Friday, jockey Tyler Baze swept the two turf races on Stradella Road ($20.20) and Take a Leap ($16.80). His next chance for a turf winner would be a surprise - aboard Whoop Whoop (4) in the eighth race, an allowance race with a $62,500 claiming option at 1 1-4 miles in the eighth race.
Whoop Whoop was pulled up and vanned off in the Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap on Aug. 18, but has worked steadily in teh last month in advance of his comeback for trainer Jeff Mullins, who trains Take a Leap.
IN advance of that race, Baze rides Divine Dharma (3) in the seventh race, a maiden claimer at a mile on the main track.
