Friday's 10-race program begins with a carryover of $992,979 in the single ticket portion of the 20-cent Rainbow pick six.
The bet has not been hit at the meeting through Sunday, the 19th day of the 22-day meeting. Sunday's pick six paid $31,431. There were six winning tickets from a robust pool of $353,039.
There is no consolation portion of the Rainbow pick six, with 70 percent of the net pool devoted to ticketholders with six winners and 30 percent paid to one winning ticketholder, or into a carryover. Those terms have left some players on the sidelines awaiting the Nov. 4 program, the closing day of the meeting, when the pool must be paid in its entirety.
If there is a seven-figure carryover into the Nov. 4 program, there will be massive interest in the bet with a multi-million dollar pool expected.
