Jaywalk made the lead soon after the start and took them gate to wire under Joel Rosario to dominate the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies by 5 1-2 lengths at Churchill Downs.
Restless Rider, the Grade 1 Alcibiades winner, rallied for second, a half-length in front of Vibrance. It was 3 1-4 lengths to Bellafina, the 9-5 favorite, in fourth.
She was followed, in order by Cassies Dreamer, Sippican Harbor, Seregenti Empress, Splashy Kisses, Reflect and Baby Nina.
The victory was the fourth consecutive for Jaywalk, a daughter of Cross Traffic owned by Cash is King Stable and the D J Stable of Leonard Green and trained by John Servis.
Jaywalk carved out fractions of 23.26 seconds for the quarter, 46.76 for the half, 1:11.48 for six furlongs.
Bellafina had come to Jaywalk around the far turn but Jaywalk ran away from her in the lane.
She covered the 1 1-16 miles in 1:43.62 and returned $13 as the 5-1 fourth choice.
