As opposed to the Juvenile Fillies Turf, the upcoming Juvenile Turf appears to be a wide-open race.
I prefer FORTY UNDER (4), who won the Pilgrim on a yielding course and was one of horses who impressed me most during morning training this past week from all the Breeders' Cup runners.
LINE OF DUTY (5) is improving and looks like one of the Europeans worth using. He was way too high on the morning line at 10-1 but now is way too low as the 5-2 favorite.
SOMELIKEITHOTBROWN (7) looks very live to me, and he's a giant price, right now 21-1. He was second last time to Forty Under, but he's three times the price right now. In addition, he has more tactical speed, and the course profile so far has been to be up close.
ANTHONY VAN DYCK (14) has a terrible draw in post 14 and is underlaid at 7-2 but his European form is very strong and British broadcaster Nick Luck, who I greatly respect, thinks he can win despite the draw.
MUCH BETTER (3) I thought worked well in his final drill at Santa Anita when I saw him last weekend. He also should be forwardly placed, so he's a use for me in the gimmicks at 17-1.
My plays against in here are those exiting the Bourbon, in which they were all clumped together at the end of race.
