Princess Yaiza, who ran ninth in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Filly And Mare Turf, will remain in the U.S. and be trained here by Christophe Clement, her European trainer, Gavin Cromwell, tweeted Sunday.
Although Princess Yaiza struggled to keep pace down the stretch on Saturday, losing by 11 lengths to victorious Sistercharlie, she was prominent for the first two-thirds of the race when chasing the pace in third. She comes off a successful 3-year-old season that saw her win the Group 3 Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp Oct. 6 in her career highlight.
