Some thoughts on the upcoming Cigar Mile:

- I love MENDELSSOHN (1), but I'm not completely sold that he'll adore this one-turn mile configuration, and you have to wonder when all of this travel will catch up to him

- If I'm taking anyone out of the Kelso, it's SUNNY RIDGE (2); he ran against the grain of the track at Belmont on 9/22 and did so rallying into a paceless race

- I like PAT ON THE BACK (3) to win the Cigar Mile; I think there's reason to believe his Beyers should be a bit higher than they are in certain races, and I think he's returning to his preferred distance and configuration

With 19 MTP, Pat On the Back is 16-1...I'm not saying he's going to win, but you'd better believe I'm firing given the overlaid price I believe him to be.
