Jockeys Trevor McCarthy and Jomar Torres, who went down hard in a race 6 spill at Laurel Park on Friday, are off their mounts today. Horacio Karamanos, who also was involved in the chain-reaction collision, is scheduled to ride.
The three riders were sent to the hospital but were released Friday evening.
Torres was okay but sore Saturday, according to his agent, Tom Stift. McCarthy also is sore, according to his agent, Scott Silver.
The soonest either rider is expected to return is next Friday.
