The 20-cent Rainbow pick six has a carryover of $1,235,395 for Friday's program - with a mandatory payout on the horizon.

Thursday, the California Horse Racing Board approved Santa Anita's request for a mandatory payout on Feb. 2, a day with three graded stakes. The carryover pool may reach $1.5 million by then. The carryover portion of the Rainbow pick six is paid only if there is a single winning ticket.

If that occurs between Friday and Feb. 1, the track has guaranteed a payoff of $2 million. There has not been a single ticket since the meeting began on Dec. 26.
